Calling from your landline - Instant Dial Access Numbers

How do I make a call using Call Happy?
You simply search for the country you want to phone and you'll find the instant dial access number for that country. You can make your cheap international call immediately by dialing our access number then 00 followed by the country code and then the phone number of the person you want to call. It's as easy as that.
How do I open an account?
You don't need to open an account and you don't need a credit card either. Just dial the Call Happy access number and your service provider will charge you for the call.
How do I pay for the calls I make?
When you use the Call Happy service you pay your service provider for calling our access numbers.
From 1st July 2015 Ofcom have changed the way that calls to numbers beginning 084 / 087 / 09 are charged. The charge is split into a service charge (which is the rate advertised on our website) and an access charge (which is billed by your phone company). The service charge is the same no matter which phone company you make the call through but the access charge varies between companies. Both of these charges are billed thorugh your phone company.
If you are unsure of you phone companies access charge, you should contact them before making a call.

Do your call charges include VAT?
Yes, all of the charges shown on our website include VAT.
Am I still charged if I don't get through to the number I'm calling?
As your service provider charges you for calling our access number you will still be charged if you don't get through to the person you are calling, this could be because the line is engaged, they do not answer or because of problems with the connection.
I do not have a BT landline, can I still use the Call Happy service?
Our service works from nearly all UK landlines, as long as your service provider allows you to call numbers beginning 08 and 09 you can use our service.
Does the person I'm calling get charged as well?
Only the person making the call will be charged for calling our access numbers unless they are normally charged to receive a call when you call them direct (e.g. roaming in another country).
Can I use your service while travelling overseas?
The Call Happy service can only be used from the UK. But remember you can use our service to contact friends and family who are travelling overseas.
My service provider charged more than the rate advertised on your website, why was this?

Calling from your mobile - SMS Top-up - Premium Service - 80041, 80550

How can I make a cheap calls from my mobile phone?
You can pay for international calling credit using a text message. It's like using a calling card but without the inconvenience of having to go and buy one.
How can I buy international calling credit to use from my mobile phone?
Simply send a text message containing the word HAPPY to 80041 for £3 calling credit or to 80550 for £5 calling credit. If you are having problems sending a text to either number, you may need to check with your service provider to ensure that they have not blocked short code numbers from your handset.
I have received my confirmation message, how do I make a call?
Once you have received you confirmation text message, simply dial the access number and then enter the international number started with 00 and followed by the country code. If you are calling from a different phone from the one you topped up from, you will need then enter the PIN after you have called the access number.
Important: once you have entered your international number do NOT press the green send key on your mobile phone. This will cause the international call to go directly over your mobile network and they will charge you for the call. We cannot accept responsibility for any charges incurred.
Can I use this service from any mobile network?
Our service works all mobile networks but you can only top up from the following networks; O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and Three. If you are using a different network, we would suggest using our Credit Call service.
Can I use your service while travelling overseas?
The Call Happy service can only be used from the UK. But remember you can use our service to contact friends and family who are travelling overseas.
What am I charged for using this service?
In addition to the pence per minute rate, you are charge a call set-up fee which is equal to twice the pence per minute rate up to a maximum of 30p per call. So if you are calling Australia for 1p/min, you will be charged 2p call set up fee.
Will I be charged for dialling your access number?
This service uses a UK national access number (02 or 03), you can call these access numbers as part of your inclusive minutes where applicable. If you do not have any inclusive minutes, your service provider will charge you their standard UK call rate.
I want to call from another phone (not the one I topped up with), is this possible?
Yes, we provide a PIN that can be used from any phone including Payphones. If you are calling from a landline and don't have any UK minutes included, we can provide a freephone access number (0800). Calls using this number are surcharged at 2p/min.
How long does my international calling credit last?
Your credit lasts 90 days from time of your last call or last top-up, which ever is later
I sent a top-up request but haven't received a confirmation message, what should I do?
Requests are normally processed in a matter of minutes, sometimes they do take a little longer. If you haven't received a confirmation messgae within a 2 hours, please send us a message using the contact us form. We do not advise sending another top-up request as you may receive multiple top-ups.
I have been charged by my mobile service provider for an international call I made using your service, why is this?
The only way this can happen is if you press the green send button on your mobile phone after you have entered the international number. We do tell you not to do this as we cannot be held responsible for any charges incurred.

Calling from your mobile - SMS Top-up - Standard Service - 65656, 81616, 84459, 80876

How can I make a cheap calls from my mobile phone?
You can pay for international calling credit using a text message. It's like using a calling card but without the inconvenience of having to go and buy one.
How can I buy international calling credit to use from my mobile phone?
Simply send a text message containing the word CALLHAPPY (one word, no space) to 80876 for £1.50 calling credit, 84459 for £3 calling credit, 84459 for £5 calling credit or to 65656 for £10 calling credit. If you are having problems sending a text to either number, you may need to check with your service provider to ensure that they have not blocked short code numbers from your handset.
This service also provides an auto top-up features which means then when your credit is about to run out, it will automatically be topped up by £5 (if your original top up was £1.50, £3 or £5) or £10 (if your original top-up was £10).
How do I cancel the auto top-up feature?
To opt out of the automatic top up, simply text STOP to 80876, 81616, 84459, or 65656 at any time. If you choose to opt out, calls will disconnect once the credit has finished. If you have opted out of auto top-up, once your credit has expired you will have to send another requested for more credit.
To renable auto top-up simply text YES to 80876, 84459, 85450, 81616 or 65656 at any time.
I have received my confirmation message, how do I make a call?
Once you have received you confirmation text message, simply dial 0344 545 0034 and at the prompt then enter the international number starting with 00 and the country code then the number you wish to call followed by #.
Important: once you have entered your international number do NOT press the green send key on your mobile phone. This will cause the international call to go directly over your mobile network and they will charge you for the call. We cannot accept responsibility for any charges incurred.

The Call Happy service can only be used from the UK. But remember you can use our service to contact friends and family who are travelling overseas.
Can I use this service from any mobile network?
Our service works from all mobile networks but you can only top up from the following networks; O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and Three. If your service provider allows you to send a Premium SMS, then you can use our services. If your service provider bars message to Premium numbers, we would recommend using our Credit Call service.
This service is not available using Virgin Mobile.
What am I charged for using this service?
In addition to the pence per minute rate, your phone company will charge you for dialling our access number at their standard UK rate. If you have inclusive minute these can be used or alternatively you can use our freephone access number which is surcharged at 5 pence per minute.
Will I be charged for dialling your access number?
This service uses a UK national access number (03), you can call this access numbers as part of your inclusive minutes where applicable. If you do not have any inclusive minutes, your service provider will charge you their standard UK call rate. Alternatively you can use our freephone access number which is free from both landlines and mobiles and surcharged at 5 pence per minute.
I want to call from another phone (not the one I topped up with), is this possible?
Yes, we provide a PIN which enables your credit to be used from any phone.
Please note if you used a Vodafone mobile to purchase buy international calling credit, a PIN is not supplied and you can only use your credit from the phone you bought the credit from.
How long does my international calling credit last?
Your credit lasts 90 days from date of last top-up, if you top up again before your credit expires you get 90 days on all unused credit.

Calling using Credit Call

How can I buy credit using the Call Happy Credit Call service?
You can pay for your top-up using a credit or debit card or your Paypal account. Just click the checkout with Paypal button and fill in your details.
I want to call from another phone (not the one I topped up with), is this possible?
Yes, we provide a PIN that can be used from any phone including Payphones. If you are calling from a landline and don't have any UK minutes included, we can provide a freephone access number (0800). Calls using this number are surcharged at 3p/min.
Can I use your service while travelling overseas?
The Call Happy service can only be used from the UK. But remember you can use our service to contact friends and family who are travelling overseas.
Once I have received my confirmation message, how do I make a call?
To make a call from the mobile number you entered
1. Dial 020 8497 8855
2. At the prompt enter the number you wish to call starting with 00 and followed by the country code.


To make a call from any other phone
1. Dial 0344 545 0034
2. At the prompt enter the PIN you received in text message
3. Enter the number you wish to call starting with 00 and followed by the country code.

How long does my credit last?
Credit will expire 90 days after the last top-up was made. You can extend this time by topping up again before your credit expires, all unused creidt will last another 90 days from the top-up date.
Is there a limit to the amount of top-ups I can do?
Yes, there is a limit of £40 per month. If you a higher top-up amount, please send us a message using the contact us form and we will try to accomodate your requirements.
Will I be charged for dialling your access number?
