Calling using our freecall and instant dial access numbers
You can make cheap international calls from your landline using our freecall and instant dial access numbers.
Simply dial the relevant access number for the country you wish to call and the call is connected to our network. When you hear the voice prompt, enter your international number starting with 00 and followed by the country code.
Your service provider will charge you for calling our access number at the advertised rate plus their access charge there are no charges direct from Call Happy. As you are charged for calling the access number, you will still incur a charge even if the international number you are calling is unavailable (busy, no answer or not connected).
Many service providers offer free calls to numbers beginning 08 as part of their monthly calling plans, if you are on one of these calling plans you can call our access numbers at no additional cost.
Our freecall and instant dial access numbers work with all of the major landline and mobile service providers. The rates advertised on our website apply to all providers and are subject to an access charge from your phone company. The access charge varies between phone companies, if unsure of charges please contact your phone company before making a call.
Calling using our top up services
Our top-up service allows you to make cheap international calls from your landline or mobile phone without having to change service providers.
You can send a text message to one of our short codes and credit will be added to your mobile phone. The cost of the text (£5 or £10) + one standard text message will be charged to your mobile phone bill. You can use your credit from another phone using the PIN that we provide (doesn't apply to credit bought using a Vodafone mobile).
When your credit runs out, simply send us another text message to purchase more credit or if your are using our Standard service you will be topped up automatically when your credit runs low (optional).
You can usually make a call within a few minutes of sending your top up request although it may sometimes take a little longer to process your request.
Once you have received a message from us confirming your top-up has been processed, you can use your international calling credit by dialling our 02 or 03 UK access numbers. Calls to these access numbers are charged by your mobile service provider at their standard UK rate or are part of your inclusive mobile minutes.
IMPORTANT: Once you have dialled your international number, do NOT press the green send button on your mobile phone as this will cause the international call to go via you mobile service provider and they will charge you for the call. We will not accept responsibility for any charges if this happens.
This service works with all of the major service providers except Virgin Mobile. If would like to make calls from other networks, please use our Paypal or telephone top up servces.
